Unbelievable. Mob Rules is already around since 20 years. Time is flying if you fun. It was in 1994 when the band was founded by vocalist Klaus Dirks and six-stringer Matthias Mineur. It took five years for the band to release their debut called "Savage land". In the meantime they added another six albums to their discography.

During the past month, the three RAGE musicians Victor Smolski (guitar), Peavy Wagner (vocals and bass) and André Hilgers (drums) worked at full stretch to finish their opulent orchestral project that can be considered a continuation of 1996’s "Lingua Mortis" album – back then a true piece of pioneering work.The entire album was composed by Victor Smolski who cooperated with two orchestras from Spain and Russia, enlarging the number of this mammoth project’s participants to more than 100. Together with long-term co-producer Charlie Bauerfeind (BLIND GUARDIAN, HAMMERFALL among others), Victor Smolski produced and mixed the record in “Twilight Hall Studio” Krefeld, Germany. The final mastering is to be done within the next days.»LMO« follows an exciting concept on the burning of witches in Gelnhausen in 1599, written by vocalist Peavy Wagner and based on a true story. Apart from the three RAGE musicians, two female vocalists belong to LINGUA MORTIS ORCHESTRA’s regular cast: Jeannette Marchewka and soprano singer Dana Harnge. Guest vocals were contributed by Henning Basse (ex-METALLIUM), among others.

Few metal acts can look back at as comprehensive, multi-faceted and varied a career as Rage. Founded in spring 1984 in Herne in Germany’s Ruhr region, the band surrounding vocalist/bassist Peavy Wagner has integrated a wide range of stylistic nuances into its musical concept. There have been releases which focused primarily on hard thrash sounds, but also recordings featuring anthemnic power metal as well as albums with a - in the true sense of the word - symphonic orientation. Wings Of Rage, the latest offering by the three-piece, consists of all this and much more. Peavy and his colleagues Marcos Rodriguez (guitar) and Vassilios Maniatopoulos (drums) have succeeded in summarising the diversity and experience of almost 36 years of band history in twelve topical songs, starting a new chapter at the same time.

The German heavy metal outfit, Rage, originally formed in the early '80s, and although the group has issued albums on a steady basis ever since, lead singer/bassist Peter "Peavey" Wagner is the only original member still in attendance. First known as Avenger, the group issued a pair of recordings (Prayer of Steel and Depraved to Black) before switching their name to Rage, to avoid confusion with a British band of the same name. 1986's Reign of Fear signaled the group's first album to be released under their new name, as they continued on in the same heavy hitting musical direction on subsequent releases; although they used some orchestral flourishes on their late-'90s experimental albums Lingua Mortis (1996) and XIII (1999)…
