Perfct Strangers

I Sleep With Strangers is a 2008 TV documentary directed by Gabi Kent. This film seeks out the wild, amorous people who think nothing of doing what some only dream of: having sexual encounters with complete strangers. It interviews those who are willing to find compassion with others, on both sides of the fence.

Strangers When We Meet is a drama film about two married neighbors who have an affair. The movie was adapted by Evan Hunter from his novel of the same name and directed by Richard Quine. The film stars Kirk Douglas, Kim Novak, Ernie Kovacs, Barbara Rush, and Walter Matthau.

Set in suburban Flatpoint, USA, Strangers with Candy twisted the conventions of the After-School Special to create a completely original comedy series. Each half hour follows the misadventures of Jerri Blank (Amy Sedaris), a 46 year old high school dropout who has spent the last 32 years in and out of prison - a self described "boozer, user and loser." Strangers with Candy commences as Jerri decides to pick up her life exactly where she left it: living at home and starting ninth grade. Faced with classic high school dilemmas every week, Jerri's old habits - as well as the misguided advice of her self-centered teachers (Stephen Colbert, Paul Dinello) - cause her to resolve each crisis by learning the wrong lesson from every scenario.

The great French character Raimu stars in Strangers in the House. He is cast as Loursat, the father of teenager Nicole (Juliette Faber). When Nicole's petty-thief boyfriend (Andre Reybas) is accused of murder, Loursat, a once-great attorney who has taken to drink, cleans up his act and defends the lad in court. Filmed in 1942, Strangers in the House attained an American release in 1949, three years after Raimu's death. Based on a novel by Georges Simenon, the film was remade in 1967 as Cop-Out, with James Mason and in 1992 as L'Inconnu dans la Maison with Jean-Paul Belmondo.
