Ho Jun is a student from Beijing who is working in a cattle slaughter house in Tokyo. He lives with other Chinese friends in cheap lodgings. All of them find it difficult to adapt to Japanese culture. To make matters worse Ho Jun and some friends devise a plot to rob a local pinball gambling house - the gangster who owns the house finds them out and threatens to send Ho Jun back to China.

On a fall night in 1987, three men forced their way into Peter Tosh's home in Kingston, Jamaica. Inside, they drew guns and forced their way upstairs where they confronted Tosh and some friends. Tosh was beaten, pistol-whipped and then shot several times. Five others were shot before the gunmen fled. The victims were rushed to the hospital, but it was too late for Tosh. Based on his personal taped diaries, the Red X tapes, the film reveals the inner thoughts of this volatile musician. His closest friends and associates talk about the many sides of Peter Tosh, explaining his fiery career and dramatic death. Abused by his gym teacher and his mother's current boy friend Lakki can find no peace. He cannot turn to his father as the man is distant and uncaring. Instead the 14 year old finds friends and harbor on the streets. He gets himself in trouble at school, starts playing with drugs, and tries to become a bully. He has no direction and no one to guide him. Even the friends he has made turn against him. It is only when things turn to the worst, and his fantasies are at their height does the real world finally reach in and save him from a tumble into the abyss of drugs and prostitution.

This version of Dracula is closely based on Bram Stoker's classic novel of the same name. A young lawyer (Jonathan Harker) is assigned to a gloomy village in the mists of eastern Europe. He is captured and imprisoned by the undead vampire Dracula, who travels to London, inspired by a photograph of Harker's betrothed, Mina Murray. In Britain, Dracula begins a reign of seduction and terror, draining the life from Mina's closest friend, Lucy Westenra. Lucy's friends gather together to try to drive Dracula away.

Joseph Donelly (Tom Cruise),a young Irishman facing property eviction after his father's death, decides to take revenge on his landlord, Daniel Christie (Robert Prosky). In his attempt to kill him however, he is discovered by Daniel's daughter, Shannon Christie (Nicole Kidman) and is injured by her when he tries to escape. While injured he continues his plans to kill his landlord, but his weapon malfunctions and blows up in his face…
