Internal Affairs is the 1999 debut solo album from Troy Jamerson, better known as Organized Konfusion member Pharoahe Monch. This features the hit songs "Simon Says" and "Right Here". This was released by Rawkus.

The Ablist is the debut solo album by Robert Aguilar, better known as American hip-hop turntablist Rob Swift. A longtime member of The X-Men, who changed their name to The X-Ecutioners to avoid being sued by Marvel Comics. This album was released in 1999 on Asphodel Records and features cameos from Pharoahe Monch, Johnny "Juice" Rosado, and his DJ crew The X-Men.

Unearthed is a 2CD compilation honoring the 10th anniversary of Coalmine Records. Released by Coalmine Records, Disc 1 was mixed by DJ Revolution while Disc 2 featured "unmixed" versions of the songs plus a few bonus tracks.

Organized Konfusion were a hip-hop duo from New York City consisting of Larry Baskerville and Troy Jamerson, who were better known as Prince Poetry (or Prince Po) and Pharoahe Monch respectively. This was their debut album released in 1991 on Hollwood BASIC and features the hits "Fudge Pudge", "Walk Into The Sun", and "Who Stole My Last Piece Of Chicken?".

The album peaked at number 44 on the Billboard 200, and by February 2007, it had sold 134,000 copies in the United States. Despite not being a major commercial success for Gray, The Trouble with Being Myself received mostly positive reviews. The album spawned the single "When I See You".

Miles Ahead is an original motion picture soundtrack of the film Miles Ahead. The album features Miles Davis, Robert Glasper, Don Cheadle, Taylor Eigsti, Ewan McGregor and Phil Schaap. Consisting of 24 tracks, the ranges of album's genre include jazz-instrumental, jazz-funk, trumpet jazz, modal music, hard bop & fusion. There are four new compositions written/co-written by Robert Glasper. The album stands as a double portrait of Miles Davis, since there are both contemporary songs of recent artists and the past original songs of Miles Davis.

When last we heard from Brooklyn composer-saxophonist Marcus Strickland, on 2016's Nihil Novi, he was testing his mettle at hip-hop-inspired production, blending genres with a little help from album producer Meshell Ndegeocello. In more ways than one, Macy Gray is a bit like the Dan Marino of neo-soul: full of promise and potential but never truly reaching her full blossom. Having only reached the Top Ten promised land once (and Top 40 only three times) in her five-year career on the good ship Epic, it's hard to call this a "very best of" and get excited about the songs held within the packaging. Starting off with the one-two chronological punch of "I Try" and "Do Something," the air starts to leak out of the ball ever so slowly as the compilation progresses, leaving a deflating feeling by the time the new additions are reached.
