Philipp Burgers zweites Soloalbum „Grenzland“ knüpft genau dort an, wo „Kontrollierte Anarchie“ (Platz 1 der Deutschen Albumcharts) aufgehört hat. Die 15 Songs (+ zusätzlichem Hidden Track) sind allesamt melodische, mitsingbare, mutgebende, vor allem aber musikalisch sehr breit aufgestellte Botschafter seiner geistigen Uffizien.

"2:33" war ein Riesenerfolg, der, angestoßen von Philipps Hit "Wolke 4", fast aus dem Nichts kam: 50.000 verkaufte Alben, Platz 12 in den Charts, ausverkaufte Tourneen, 2015 und '16 Nominierungen bei der 1Live Krone und beim Echo. Kein Lied wurde 2015 in Deutschland häufiger heruntergeladen als "Wolke 4" (Dreifach-Gold mit 600.000 verkauften Einheiten), und auch die zweite Single "Das ist dein Leben" erreichte Goldstatus. Nun heißt es also: "Jede Nacht". Die Musik von Philipp Dittberner lässt einen schon beim ersten Hören nicht mehr los. Sie stellt einen Spagat dar, zwischen Intimität und großer Geste. Die Produktion ist dicht und mutig. Die Songs des 1990 geborenen Berliners funktionieren in unmittelbarer Direktheit, trotzdem sind sie feinsinnig und zart. Sie holen einen dort ab, wo man gerade steht, mit allem Ballast, aller Sehnsucht, aller Euphorie, aller Melancholie. In kleinen Beobachtungen, flüchtigen Gedanken und kaum greifbaren Momenten findet der Songwriter Geschichten, die auf einmal ganz groß klingen. Philipp ist bei all dem Erfolg mit beiden Füßen auf dem Boden geblieben. Darum hat seine Musik auch so viel Kraft. Weil er seine Gabe, den Menschen mit seinen Songs etwas zu geben, ernst nimmt. Das funktioniert. Jeden Tag. Und jede Nacht.

This already time for the general reassurance. But what he started with his last album "I'll Be Around" in 2017, he continues with a feeling for fine nuances. The soul-soaked Blues is still his strength and also the Try-My-Love-esque Fankhauser/Walker Ballads are not missing on his new record.
