In the wake of the too often forgotten Felipe Pedrell (1841-1922), composer andemeritus musicologist of Castilian folklore, they have tried to (re)integrate their popular musical heritage into"scholarly" music and to embody Hispanic character by a fundamental reference to traditional music.
