Over the course of his career, Popa Chubby hasn't exactly grown. Instead, he's found his formula and he's sticking to it, thank you, no matter what anybody else might say. That's probably why he didn't quite cut it as a major-label artist – there is a market for his competent, muscular blues-rock, just not a large one….

Popa Chubby? A genius guitarist, and ye fast. Otherwise, it is a style in itself of great music in the fresh air fed from the Bronx. The source is the blues, with the power of rock. Everything revolves around the guitar with great sound, and on this basis, Popa Chubby goes very far, carried by every jazz and soul influences.
