First time on vinyl for the 12 acoustic tracks which originally featured as a bonus on the original CD pressing of the 2013’s “XXIV” CD. ‘XXIV - ACOUSTIC’ now features as a bonus track the previously unreleased studio out-take ‘Hard Times Café’.
XXIV- ACOUSTIC’ features a cover version of Mott The Hoople’s ‘Angel Of Eighth Avenue’ as well as Charlie Harper’s ‘Little Black Crow’, which he then used as the title for his second solo LP.

A transitional album on which the band moved from Syd Barrett's relatively concise and vivid songs to spacy, ethereal material with lengthy instrumental passages. Barrett's influence is still felt (he actually did manage to contribute one track, the jovial "Jugband Blues"), and much of the material retains a gentle, fairy-tale ambience. "Remember a Day" and "See Saw" are highlights; on "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun," "Let There Be More Light," and the lengthy instrumental title track, the band begin to map out the dark and repetitive pulses that would characterize their next few records.

We are so excited to continue the Red Hot & Ra – Nuclear War LP series with a collection of eclectic reinterpretations and electric remixes of Sun Ra’s track ‘Nuclear War’. Remixers include dub and post-punk legend Dennis Bovell, who douses the incendiary recording by Malcolm Jiyane Tree-o in space and echo. Bovell, who produced debut albums by The Slits & The Pop Group in 1979 , was the in house producer at Y Records, the UK label that originally released Sun Ra’s Nuclear War EP in 1981.
