Apocalypse has been the first Brazilian band signed by Musea for a new record. Released at the end of the Eighties, "Lendas Encantadas" (1989) revealed an exceptional band playing Progressive rock music full of energy, obviously inspired by Marillion. The second album "Perto Do Amanhecer" (1995) proves to be in the same vein, but even better! These twelve concise pieces mix peaceful acoustic moments with more agressive and nearly hard-rock passages. And the Portuguese singing gives the music an exotic and very nice touch. It was the year 1982, the firs Golden era of Symphonic had ended and Neo Prog was starting to take the Art Rock scenario by assault, but some musicians refused to leave the genre like Erik de Beer (Well known in Prog Archives for Life Line Project), who left the power-rock trio Brancard to form his own band Zoundworks where he plays all instruments well supported by Ankie Jansen in the vocals. During the next Zoundworks releases three demos and in 1985 he leaves the project to form Life Line Project (LLP) in 1989. Since then, some tracks were performed by his new band and in 2014 with the participation of Ankie in one song and Marion Brinkman on another releases an album called 2014…
