This varied and vivid selection of works shows Ravel as the master of the ‘choreographic symphony’, words he himself used to describe his masterpiece Daphnis et Chloé, which contains some of his boldest and most resplendent music. His imagination retained a direct link to the poetry of children, as shown in Ma mère l’oye, whilst in Valses nobles et sentimentales he set out to write a sequence of waltzes following the example of Schubert. These classic VOX recordings from 1974 by Stanisław Skrowaczewski and the Minnesota Orchestra are critically acclaimed. The Elite Recordings for VOX by legendary producers Marc Aubort and Joanna Nickrenz are considered by audiophiles to be amongst the finest sounding examples of orchestral recordings.

Originally released in 2003, the album has been remixed from the original tapes by Bruce Soord. This limited 4CD+Blu-ray Bookset edition features Bruce's new mixes, as well as the originals across two CD’s. The set also includes a remixed version of Christmas Live at St Brides 2008 plus over 40 minutes of unreleased recordings from a previous performance at St Brides in 2006 by the Ian Anderson Band. The blu-ray includes Dolby Atmos, 5.1 Surround Sound and High Resolution 24/44 Stereo Mixes of The Jethro Tull Christmas Album, as well as High Resolution 24/44 Stereo Mixes of Christmas Live at St Brides 2008. The hard back book contains liner notes and all Burning Shed purchases come with a Jethro Tull Christmas card (whilst stocks last). Ho, ho and ho!

Carl Ruggles (1876-1971) was an innovative American composer who used "dissonant counterpoint" to create a work that is both finely crafted and characterized by emotional power. For fans of Charles Ives, Henry Cowell and Edgard Varèse, this new edition contains the world-famous conductor Michael Tilson Thomas with the Buffalo Philharmonic, the original liner notes as well as a rare essay on ruggles by Lou Harrison and historical photos of the composer.

Dans un show de plus de deux heures, entourée de ses fidèles musiciens, elle revisite plus de 20 titres de son répertoire avec générosité et surtout ce féroce appétit de faire vibrer toute une salle au son de sa voix reconnaissable entre toutes. La scène est sa raison de vivre et elle le prouve une nouvelle fois dans ce film qui restitue l’intégralité du concert. Projeté lors d’une séance unique dans plus de 280 salles de cinéma en septembre 2024, il a attiré plus de 20 000 spectateurs et est maintenant disponible en DVD. Le titre de la tournée, Hasta luego !, est celui d’une chanson co-écrite avec Vianney, et qu’ils interprètent en duo. À noter également la présence sur scène de Zaz, Natalie Dessay, et Chris Stills, seul au piano pour une de ses compositions. Un show émouvant et décoiffant, un concert de légende.

The Soul And Songs Of Young Curtis Mayfield chronicles the rapid growth of the young Black “Gentle Genius” who would leave a lasting mark on American music. Featuring tracks from The Impressions, Jerry Butler, Gene Chandler, and more, this compilation showcases Mayfield's recording, producing, and songwriting journey at Vee-Jay Records. The audio has been remastered from the original analog tapes by Paul Blakemore and the package includes new liner notes from noted rock historian Jim Miller.

A founder member of SOFT MACHINE, Kevin embarked on a solo career in 1969, signing to EMI’s Harvest label and recording the album ‘JOY OF A TOY’ the same year. It is a mark of Kevin’s stature that his recordings during this period would feature contributions from notable musicians such as arranger and keyboard player DAVID BEDFORD, ROBERT WYATT, SYD BARRETT, MIKE OLDFIELD, LOL COXHILL, STEVE HILLAGE, ARCHIE LEGGET and more. This boxed set includes all of the surviving BBC sessions and In Concert appearances recorded by Kevin during this period, including a previously unreleased John Peel concert from 1970 and other tracks featuring Soft Machine, Bridget St. John and Gong. Other highlights include the inclusion of a complete set recorded at a Hyde Park Free concert in 1970, newly mixed and restored by Stephen W Tayler, previously unreleased session out-takes and a segment from a 1972 concert and a performance at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in 1973. Rounding off the set is a region free Blu-ray video disc which includes a series of live performances recorded for French television, along with two sessions for The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1972 and 1973 (with three previous unseen alternate performances from 1972) and the ‘Caribbean Moon’ promotional film.
