Troy Little's gonzo adaptation of Hunter Thompson's Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas is now available in an all-new format. Find out why GQ said "Little's cartoonish sensibilities make him the ideal artist to adapt Thompson's gonzo ur-text… perfectly portraying literature's most ridiculous road trip." This comic book version is presented in black-and-white and at a slightly larger size than the full-color hardcover edition. Each issue also includes pages from Little's sketchbook and other behind-the-scenes information.

MARVELMAN COMES TO MARVEL! Who is the mysterious Marvelman? The answer to that question is one of the most mysterious in comics lore. Created in 1954 by writer/artist Mick Anglo, the character enjoyed a long run in the British comics market as one of its most powerful heroes. A few decades later, the character was revived with a dark, moody, deconstructionist bent, and produced one of the most important works of comic art in the medium's history. But now, miracle of miracles, Marvel has stepped up to the plate to deliver on the promise of Anglo's incredible characters. The MARVELMAN PRIMER will help readers unfamiliar with that character get up to speed on the past, present and future of Marvelman stories. We'll check in with Mick Anglo, Neil Gaiman and others who contributed to this character’s history over the years. It was the news that swept the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con and the Marvelman Primer explains why! Featuring six all-new pinups of key Marvelman characters by superstar artists Mike Perkins, Doug Braithwaite, Miguel Angel Sepulveda, Jae Lee, Khoi Pham and Ben Oliver! --

is an ongoing series of Danish fantasy-adventure comic books drawn by Peter Madsen and co-written by Hans Rancke-Madsen and Peter Madsen, and based on a story by Henning Kure. Although Hans Rancke-Madsen is the main series writer, the title became a breakthrough for Peter Madsen because of his illustrations, and it would come to be known as . Originally commissioned for and published by Interpresse, it has been published by Carlsen Comics since 1987with some exceptions. It has also been published in Swedish, Norwegian and Spanish. The tone of the albums has focused on humor, but the characters, and much of the plot, are based on the stories and legends in the (featuring the adventures of the Norse Gods, mainly Odin and Thor) and many albums have often featured deeper human issues. The albums are of high quality, and each took one or several years to produce. The first album was released in 1979, the second in 1982, and the latest fifteenth in 2009. The series is very much in the tradition of finely drawn and well plotted Franco-Belgian comics like Tintin or Asterix, which also served as inspiration for the Valhalla comics. "Freya's Necklace" was elected the best foreign comic album for 1992 in Norway and Peter Madsen received The Norwegian Comics Forum's "Sproing" Prize for it.

If you have been following this popular Aspen series now in its second volume, then you may be familiar with the series' cast of characters. I admit, however, that I'm not--I have previously posted a complete set in the early stages of Volume 1, but I have never really read any issue in its entirety, what with so many others from Marvel and DC clamoring for my attention. What I do look forward to, however, are the covers. They are handsomely painted and drawn. That's why when several Minutemen scans with multiple variant covers come along, I grab them. That said, here are 3 consecutive earlier issues (the title currently now is waiting for issue #9 volume 2, I believe) that are just what I mentioned.

now occupies Ender Wiggins' life three years after the close of Battle School. The young tactical genius, now all of nine years, has been prematurely promoted to Command School by his superiors. The creative team has done a great job in this faithful, methodical yet thoroughly engrossing adaptation of the first novel of Orson Scott Card's critically-acclaimed and multiple-award-winning series of books. All the details and complexities of Ender's world as he is being prepped to lead the last battle against the alien Formics is brought to vibrant life here, case in point the brutal practice sessions and battle simulations known simply as games. These comic books are a great jumping off point for the novels. I rate this series, "Outstanding."
