After playing in bands in home state of Connecticut, then Boston in the late '80s (including touring with Aimee Mann's group 'Til Tuesday), he became an in-demand session musician and producer on the West Coast.

BMG has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie How It Ends. The album features the film’s original music composed by Atli Orvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Eagle, Chicago Fire). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. How It Ends is directed by David M. Rosenthal and stars Theo James, Forest Whitaker and Kat Graham. The movie centers on a young lawyer as he heads west to find his pregnant fiancée when a mysterious disaster turns the country into a war zone. The thriller premiered this past July and is now available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
