R.e.m. Borderline

Sweetener is the fourth studio album by American singer Ariana Grande. It was released on August 17, 2018, through Republic Records. The album is the follow-up to her third studio album Dangerous Woman (2016), and features guest appearances from Pharrell Williams, Nicki Minaj and Missy Elliott.

Sundome and the Night's 'In Lean Hours' is one of the rare 'new' albums on the Garden of Delights label, quite obvious from its hour-plus length alone. Accordingly it reflects more modern times, and so it has more of an 'alternative edge.' The lead-off track, "I Ran For You" resembles a slightly raunchier R.E.M., both tuneful and aggressive. Singer Uwe shows quite convincingly that he can belt out his vocals with the best of 'em, and usually does so without going too far. The anthem "Codine" as presented herein is a bit more boisterous than the original by Buffy St. Marie , and by the end everything turns rather chaotic with wild strokes from UC Kuhlmann's Hammond organ…

This collection retailed for $100.00 when first released in 1993. There has never been a better collection of Rock Classics - probably never will be, what with the difficulties of gaining clearances and gathering the best materials. The seven CDs are divided into the years covered: 1967-69; 1969-70; 1971-73; 1973-77; 1977-82; 1982-86; 1986-92. Enclosed in each CD is a booklet with a capsule history of the music and a complete artist/title list. All of which contain from 15 to 17 tracks, for a total of 110.

The roots of American music, including the blues, R&B, and Cajun music, gave Willy DeVille's (born William Borsey) late-'70s punk band, Mink DeVille, its unique flavor. A quarter of a century later, DeVille continued to blend musical traditions and postmodern intensity. A self-taught guitarist, DeVille found his early inspiration in the blues of John Hammond Jr., Muddy Waters, and John Lee Hooker.
