The 40th anniversary of "Ramones", recently named the “Greatest Punk Album Of All Time” by Rolling Stone, and certainly one of the most important and influential albums of all time. Features a brand NEW MONO MIX of the album - the band had originally discussed recording the album in mono, but it was ultimately decided against. Plus 18 single mixes, outtakes, and demos, includes 8 previously unreleased tracks and Live At The Roxy, Hollywood, CA - August 12, 1976 (Set 2 - previously unreleased).

The Deluxe Edition features a remastered version of the original stereo mix for Rocket To Russia, plus the 2017 40th Anniversary Tracking Mix created by Ed Stasium, which provides a back-to-basics version of the album, and a different track listing from the 1977 original. Two dozen rare and unreleased recordings are found on the second disc, including rough mixes from sessions at Mediasound and The Power Station. A highlight of this Deluxe Edition is the complete unreleased concert included on the third disc. This never-before-heard multi-track recording of the band's December 19, 1977 show at the Apollo Centre in Glasgow, Scotland captures the Ramones just a few days before the group recorded the classic live album It's Alive, and mixed for this 40th Anniversary edition by Ed Stasium.

The first disc features two different mixes of Leave Home, opening with a remastered version of the original stereo mix. The highlight is the new 40th anniversary mix of the full album, created by Stasium from the original multi-track tapes, and designed to better reflect the Ramones raw power and beef up the sound. In the sets liner notes he writes: Generally, the consensus was [the original] maybe sounded too clean, the guitars panned completely left-right detracted from the bands foreboding presence, and the reverb effects especially were a little excessive. The new 40th anniversary mix is also featured on the LP that accompanies this deluxe edition.
