Shooting in both their California and Chicago studios he went on to make 15 films that firmly established him as the world’s favourite screen comedian.
Unlike other screen stars of the time, Chaplin retained complete creative control over his films, from writing and directing, to choosing his cast members. While this led to his relationship with Essanay growing increasingly strained, this fruitful period of his career saw him evolve his style, resulting in seminal works such as The Tramp, The Bank and The Champion.

Three young Dutch amateur dirt bike motorcycle racers each fall in love with a young woman who, with her brother, works at a concession stand at the races. Everyone is looking for a better life. The young woman wants out of the business and away from her brother. The motocross racers want to make their marks as professional racers, like their hero, Gerrit Witkamp (Rutger Hauer).

Fruit Of The Vine is a skateboarding documentary about California skaters who enjoy hunting for abandoned swimming pools to swim in. It is shot on 8 millimeter film, it looks like a home movie but was professionally made. This rip features two separate video files: the full length 57 minute film plus a 17 minute section of interviews and unused footage. Starring Steve Alba, Tony Alva, Lance Mountain, and Nacho among many. The DVD was released in 2002.

Northwest is a skateboarding documentary completely shot on 8mm film, so it has a homemade/old school lo-fi feel. Directors Rick Charnoski and Coan Nichols traveled throughout the Pacific Northwest to find skateboard parks and other places to find where skateboarding love still lives. The file includes the full 47 minute film, a 4-minute "reel" of outtakes and the 4-minute trailer. This was released on DVD in 2003.
