A television reporter and cameraman follow emergency workers into a dark apartment building and are quickly locked inside with something terrifying.

Journalist Kate Silverton abandons the safety of her BBC studio to embark on an adrenalin-fuelled journey of discovery through Britain's fastest flowing rivers and most turbulent seas. Amid the pounding North Cornish surf, Kate's childhood fear of open water dramatically re-awakens. Dan Snow follows museum curator Jane Portal and the design team as they create the exhibition, and travels to China to see the original Great Wall, the sacred mountain Tai Shan and the necropolis at Xian.
