Red Hot Chil

The Red Hot Chili Peppers is the debut studio album by Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on August 10, 1984 on EMI Records. The album was produced by Gang of Four guitarist Andy Gill, and is the only album to feature Jack Sherman on guitar who was fired by the band at the end of the tour in support of the album and replaced by founding member, Hillel Slovak.

Red Hot + Ra: The Magic City is a profound musical journey curated by Grammy Award-winning bassist-composer-producer Meshell Ndegeocello. Recorded with a diverse ensemble, including the legendary 99-year-old saxophonist Marshall Allen and hip-hop/punk-jazz vocalist Pink Siifu, this album transcends traditional covers, offering entirely new compositions inspired by Sun Ra’s philosophy. With a multi-generational cast of community musicians, the project recontextualizes Sun Ra’s work, avoiding clichés and presenting a brighter perspective than its predecessor, 2023’s Red Hot + Ra: Nuclear War.

"Ghetto Red Hot" is the 1992 single by Jamaican dancehall artist William Maragh, known commonly as Super Cat. This was the first single from his major label debut album, Don Dada and became a hit through the remix with the use of Lou Donaldson's cover of The Isley Brothers' "It Your Thing" as a sample. This American CD5 features four mixes of "Ghetto Red Hot", including the popular "Hip-Hop Mix" and its instrumental version. This was released by Wild Apache/Columbia.

We are so excited to continue the Red Hot & Ra – Nuclear War LP series with a collection of eclectic reinterpretations and electric remixes of Sun Ra’s track ‘Nuclear War’. Remixers include dub and post-punk legend Dennis Bovell, who douses the incendiary recording by Malcolm Jiyane Tree-o in space and echo. Bovell, who produced debut albums by The Slits & The Pop Group in 1979 , was the in house producer at Y Records, the UK label that originally released Sun Ra’s Nuclear War EP in 1981.
