At 2006, the virtuoso french accordionist Richard Galliano was invited by the Sinfonia Baltica Orchestra and its director Bohdan Jarmolowicz, to participate in a concert given at the famous University of Poznan, tribute to the argentinian "father" of the nouveau tango, Astor Piazzola. Galliano was accompanied by three soloists, the bandoneonist Wieslaw Przadka, the violinist (shrzypce) Tomasz Tomaszewski and the pianist Filip Wojcechowski. The repertoire of the concert included five emblematic Piazzola's works (Libertango, Oblivion, Fuga Y Misterio, Milonga En Ay Menor and Buenos Aires Hora O) and a superb work of Galliano, the Opale Concerto, composed in 1994 for the homonymous festival. Enjoy a live album of rare beauty.
