After a lifetime of running—away from their Bronx home as a teenager, for freight trains to travel the country, from New Orleans to Nashville and back to NYC—Alynda Segarra (aka, the force behind Hurray for the Riff Raff) was forced to sit still and look around when the pandemic all but stopped the world for a while. "Not being able to travel and get out whenever, I felt nervous energy inside me … it taught me a lot about trauma and memories being stored in the body," they said.

The ensemble — saxophonists Reed Wallsmith and Joe Cunningham, drummer Ji Tanzer, keyboardist Rebecca Sanborn, and bassist Jon Shaw — has been working together in a variety of formats since 2004, creating a solid body of work that has connected them to both the traditional sounds and the future-minded artists of their chosen genre.

The latest tale written by British comics writer John Reppion is of a woman known by the name of Honey and the psychoactive mad honey she harvests thanks to the bees gathering the pollen from Rhododendron bushes. A psychedelic mystery set in 1960’s swinging London.
