I Had A Dream That You Were Mine is an album of songs Hamilton Leithauser and Rostam wrote and recorded together between July 2014 and February 2016. In the spirit of collaborative albums, not unlike those of David Byrne and Brian Eno, each musician s individuality remains in tact, while in fact, on this record, both Hamilton s identity as a singer and Rostam s as a producer seem to reach new heights. This was a record I d been wanting to make for at least a decade - Rostam says - As a fan of Hamilton s voice in the Walkmen Id been wanting to capture it in ways it hadnt been captured before to make songs with him that placed the crooner right beside the howler, the screamer beside the whisperer to try to leave no stone unturned in terms of how we should approach the delivery of a song.

Four years ago, I released my first collection of music; an EP of four acoustic songs that came to be recorded by chance because of one of my YouTube videos. The songs on the EP were a culmination of what I was listening to and what I loved about music, and they completely reflected my life at that point in time. Now, four years and many shows later, those songs, while still very close to me, have begun to lose relevance in my present life. The sound of the music wasn't lining up with what I was listening to anymore, and the stories weren't those happening around me. I needed something else. Something that felt relevant to my life again. Music that reflected my growth and my experiences. I finally feel like I'm at that point, and it's so surreal. I'm finally ready to complete the biggest project of my life, thus far.

British singer-songwriter and producer Shura announces her long-awaited return with new album I Got Too Sad For My Friends, released on May 30 via Play It Again Sam, and shares the first single "Recognise". It marks her first taste of music since 2019’s critically acclaimed album forevher.

Robbie Williams is the only ex- Take That-er to have achieved both major sales and widespread credibility, but his second album I've Been Expecting You is a mixed bag. With the singles "Millennium", "Strong", and "No Regrets", the album is unashamedly Life Thru A Lens Part Two. Full of self-parody ("My breath smells of a thousand fags/and when I'm drunk I dance like me dad"), the cheeky chappie's personality shines through on every track. His voice has improved no end since, and the album includes his finest moment to date: "No Regrets", which features backing vocals by the Divine Comedy's Neil Hannon and Pet Shop Boy Neil Tennant, and is not alone in playing on that James Bond-alike thing. In fairness it has to be said that there are some duff tracks ("Jesus in a Camper Van"), but these are easily outweighed by the likes of loud and noisy "Karma Killer", with full orchestral arrangement. In a typically audacious manner, "You Win Some You Lose Some" opens with the voice of ex-girlfriend Nicole Appleton of All Saints. The nation as a whole seems to be in love with Robbie, and it is this fascination, this desire for him to be good, which makes his music work as well as it does.

The Milk Carton Kids’ fifth album , All the Things That I Did and All the Things That I Didn’t Do arrives from ANTI- Records on June 29. The new project marks the first time that acoustic duo Joey Ryan and Kenneth Pat- tengale have brought a band into studio with them. “We wanted to do something new,” Pattengale says. “We had been going around the country yet another time to do the duo show, going to the places we’d been before. There arose some sort of need for change.”

This DVD contains two complete concerts filmed for the German TV series Rockpalast. The main show is a two and a half hour concert from the Cologne Live Music Hall in 1992 and the bonus is a shorter set from the Grugahalle in Essen in 1979.
Live performance has always been the greatest strength of Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes and both these concerts show what a blisteringly good live band they are.

The music affectionately reveals her enduring passion for African American spirituals. The new album glows with a shimmering dark heat, subdued yet raw, with hypnotic beats carried forward by the incredibly strong awareness in the way Kristin approaches the songs. In 1990, Kristin inherited a number of sheets of relatively unknown African American spirituals from the Afro-American singer Ruth Reese. Kristin’s interpretations of this material resulted in “Wayfaring Stranger – a spiritual songbook” in 2006.
