Double winner of the Victoires de la musique (in 1992 with the Ceccarelli Trio and in 2003 with the Southern Trio) Jean-Marc Jafet has had the chance during his career to play in the biggest world festivals. This experience of which he is very proud, he wishes to extend and share it with this album as a bridge that would join the musical cultures but also the generations. This disc celebrates both the visceral attachment he brings to the music of his childhood, traditional and vocal Jazz that he never stopped listening and playing, but he also celebrates his love of rhythm and melodies filled with sunshine and joie de vivre that are the music of Brazil, Cuba and Africa. Surrounded by a "line up of dream" among which we recognize Frank Amsallem on piano and Stéphane Guillaume on sax, we hope you will enjoy listening as much as he took at the recording.
