York presents Best Of Planet Chill Vol. 1. Behind York hides the music producer Torsten Stenzel, who is behind the productions of Kai Tracid, Sakin & Friends and many more. The series "Planet Chill" has been enjoying great popularity among friends of ambient / chill-out music for some years now and is hereby also appearing as a physical sound carrier! This first issue contains a Best Of the Most Beautiful Titles that have appeared on the (digital) Planet Chill Samplers in recent years. Handpicked and put together with great attention to detail by York a.k.a. Torsten Stenzel.

New Amsterdam and Nonesuch Records release The Blue Hour, a song cycle written collaboratively by the female composers Rachel Grimes, Angélica Negrón, Shara Nova, Caroline Shaw, and Sarah Kirkland Snider; this unique joint vision among a female collective is available October 14, 2022. The cycle was commissioned by, and is performed with, the Boston–based chamber orchestra A Far Cry. (Nova also is featured as vocal soloist.) Set to excerpts from Carolyn Forché’s epic poem On Earth, the music follows one woman’s journey through the space between life and death via thousands of hallucinatory and non-linear images. Exploring memories of childhood, of war, of love, and of loss, The Blue Hour amplifies the beauty, pain, and fragility of human life from a collective female perspective.

In 2006 Community Radio 3CR and Wakefield Press produced the Tomorrow Is Today: Australia In The Psychedelic Era, 1966-70 book documenting and celebrating the Australian youth culture of the late 1960s. In June 2007 3CR, Weather Records and Off The Hip released a double CD featuring 19 of Australia’s finest psych, garage and indie bands covering classic songs from acts such as The Masters Apprentices, Love Ones, The Twilights and Marty Rhone.

Ernest Hemingway, the iconic literary figure considered one of the greatest American writers and among the first to live and work at the treacherous nexus of art and celebrity, is the subject of an upcoming three-part, six-hour documentary series directed by award-winning filmmakers Ken Burns and Lynn Novick (THE VIETNAM WAR, PROHIBITION, THE WAR, FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT) coming to PBS April 5-7, 2021.

‘Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors,’ Fish’s first solo album post-Marillion, originally released in 1990, has been remixed by Calum Malcolm for 2024. This new remix breathes fresh energy and dynamics into the album, giving it a new lease on life. The remix highlights fan-favorite tracks like ‘Cliché’ and ‘The Company,’ and celebrates the album’s enduring legacy as Fish embarks on a new chapter.
