Dante No Longer Repent is a 1997 album by The Vinny Golia Quintet, taken from a recording session done in Seattle done through Jack Straw Productions. This was released by Music And Arts Programs Of America, Inc.

Doo-Wop has been hailed as the provider of street corner symphonies, though in the main, the genre was based around simple songs, but delivered in a manner that suggested they reflected the very hopes and lives of those who performed them. And, in many cases, that was nothing but the truth. One heart- felt acapella anthem, heard by the right contact, and any group of kids from the various ghettoes could make it to stardom and living of the highflying kind, albeit, very often for the briefest of moments. It may be true that doo-wop had largely been relegated to the nostalgia heap and that many of its protagonists have been forgotten. But as this compilation so ably proves, the music still remains fascinating and relevant.

James Jolis and Kevin Simone are two illustrious strangers who, through the interest of producer Ron Dante, manage in 1979 to obtain a contract with Columbia and to publish a work in their own name. The record, recorded in New York, turns out to be a nice surprise and showcases the remarkable qualities of the duo both as authors and singers.

Explorers is a 1985 American science fantasy film written by Eric Luke and directed by Joe Dante. The film stars Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix, both in their film debuts, and Jason Presson as teenage boys who build a spacecraft to explore outer space. The special effects were produced by Industrial Light & Magic, with make-up effects by Rob Bottin. Rushed into production, the film was never properly finished. Dante revealed that the studio demanded that he stop editing and rush for a July release where it was overshadowed by the Live Aid concert, which was held one day after the film's release and stiff competition from Back to the Future, which opened nine days prior. It was a box office failure upon its release, but it attracted a cult following with its VHS release.

With the surplus of recent Barry Manilow greatest-hits compilations and previously issued anthologies, the choice to find the definitive survey of Manilow's works can be a chore for those with only a mild interest in the pop star's career. The recent success of 2002's outstanding Ultimate Manilow compilation warranted Arista to expand and reissue the anthology on two discs, providing a more definitive and thorough look at the crooner's catalog. Presented here in chronological order are 34 tracks, many of which were major chart-topping hits, with over half of them reaching the upper echelon of the pop charts during their heyday.
