Robby Valentine is the first self-titled album by Robby Valentine, released through Polydor Records. Some great songs all over this 13 track opus (15 if you have the Jap copy). One could say this is an extension of his work with Zinatra ('The Great Escape'), though perhaps more pomp/AOR than hard rock oriented. For instance, 'Over And Over Again' (featuring Mike Landau on lead guitar) went to No. 5 in Holland. Other supreme moments include the Queen like bombast of 'The Magic Breeze', and the AOR delights of 'Angel', and 'I'm Searchin'. Listen too for the uptempo melodic rockers 'Love Takes Me Higher' and 'The Gift Of Life'. But really there a plenty of other moments to get wrapped up in!
Eleven original songs written by Robby Z ranging from blues to contemporary alternative rock. This CD features Night Ranger lead guitarist Brad Gillis (also of Ozzy Osbourne fame). Brad “tears up” several tracks with his incredible guitar work while Robby adds in his sultry vocals.– by cdbaby

Robby Valentine is a Dutch singer and multi-instrumentalist who started his professional career in the eighties, and is the frontman of his band Valentine. After his professional start as the keyboard player in Dutch symphonic rock band Line, he soon moved on to form the melodic hard rock band 1st Avenue in 1987, together with vocalist Peter Struyk (ex-Vandenberg). This band released two albums when Robby had already left. In 1989 he joined Dutch ‘happy metal’ band Zinatra, which enjoyed great popularity in predominantly Asia and South America, as well as The Netherlands. This band toured independently, and opened up for David Lee Roth and Steve Vai. In 1990, Valentine signed a solo deal and started working on his first album…
Door Jams is a compilation album from Robby Krieger. Guitarist Robby Krieger rose to fame in the 1960s as guitarist and songwriter with the iconic band the Doors. His work after the group broke up in 1973 wasn't as well known; however, he earned critical respect and a loyal following for his solo recordings that blended rock, jazz, psychedelia, and world music, filtered through a guitar style that was clean, expressive, and straightforward. The Doors' 1967 debut album gave Krieger's fluid style its first widespread exposure, and 1971's Other Voices allowed him greater room to present his talents as a songwriter and vocalist after the passing of vocalist Jim Morrison.
