An Oklahoma native brought up in the Pentecostal church, which he s since departed, 20-year-old Parker Millsap will make you a true believer with his self-titled Okrahoma Records/ Thirty Tigers debut album. Accompanied by his collaborators, high school buddy Michael Rose on bass and fiddle-player Daniel Foulks, the young tunesmith delivers his religious-laced parables, character-driven narratives and relationship tales with the fire-and-brimstone fervor of a preacher, restoring our faith in the power of song.

As soon as Other Arrangements opens with a blast of growling electric guitars and banging backbeat, it's clear that Parker Millsap has, well, made different musical arrangements than he has in the past. While he hasn't quite abandoned Americana, he's shifted his focus so that he's grounded in soulful roots rock. In this context, the delicate fingerpicked ballads "Singing to Me" and "Good Night" as well as the bittersweet denouement "Come Back When You Can't Stay" are accents, not anchors, and the shift not only adds muscle and color, but depth of feeling. Throughout Other Arrangements, Millsap leans into the grit, singing with a rasp over earthy, funky rhythms. What makes the record so satisfying is how Millsap winds up fusing this thoroughly Southern sound with his literate, folky storytelling, which means that Other Arrangements is vibrant and alive even when he's evoking styles that have been around for ages.

The set is curated by long time musical associate of Ronnie’s, Slim Chancer musician Charlie Hart. Comprehensive sleevenotes focus on Ronnie the musician, the songwriter, the collaborator and split the post ’73 period into three distinct parts . Writers are Paolo Hewitt, Kris Needs and Kent Benjamin covering Ronnie’s Austin years.

Hawkins is also notable for his role as a talent scout and mentor of musicians he recruited for his band the Hawks. Roy Buchanan was an early Hawks guitarist on the song "Who Do You Love". The most successful example were the musicians who left him to form The Band. Other musicians Hawkins had recruited went on to form Robbie Lane and the Disciples,[4] Janis Joplin's Full Tilt Boogie Band,[5] Crowbar, Bearfoot, and Skylark.

The album was produced by Swiss composer Ronnie minder (Medicine, Beautiful Planet, Fall) and was released on December 1, 2019. On the soundtrack got 35 songs with a total duration of more than an hour. The compilation is a compilation of original music. The record was released by Esperanto Records.

His career began in Arkansas, United States, where he was born and raised. He found success in Ontario, Canada, and lived there for most of his life. Hawkins was an institution of the Ontario music scene for over 40 years. He was influential in the evolution of rock music in Canada.

The Ronnie Wood Band returns to the blues with the announcement of the second part of his live album trilogy, "Mr. Luck - A Tribute to Jimmy Reed: Live at the Royal Albert Hall". The 18-track album features The Ronnie Wood Band including Mick Taylor with incredible special guests Bobby Womack, Mick Hucknall and Paul Weller and is a tribute to one of Ronnie's musical heroes and main influences, Mississippi electric blues pioneer Jimmy Reed.
