Rope

Um were a one off group consisting of Hal Crook, Bob Gullotti, Rick Peckham, and Dave Zinno with special guest John Medeski on the Hammond B-3. They released Stray Dog in 2001 on outrageous/rope-a-dope. This album was recorded live at Club AS220 in Providence, Rhode Island on 11 & 12 May, 1999.

Shovels & Rope’s Busted Jukebox Volume 2 is the second installment of the collaborative effort between critically acclaimed duo Shovels & Rope and some of their favorite musicians and friends. The ten-song collection again finds the band covering well known songs or tracks they have either performed or arranged with other artists in the past. The album features collaborations with Brandi Carlile, John Moreland, Hayes Carll, Nicole Atkins, Rhett Miller and more.

Shovels & Rope open By Blood, their fifth album of original material, with "I'm Comin' Out," a stomping, fuzz-drenched rocker that serves as a statement of purpose: the duo is indeed moving from the shadows into the light. "I'm Comin' Out" pulsates with vivid primary colors, a distinct switch from a band who previously specialized in shades of grey. As such, it's a fitting keynote for By Blood, which is by many measures the boldest record Shovels & Rope have made.
