The companion piece to director Tony Palmer's documentary of the same name, Irish Tour was recorded in January 1974 in Belfast, Dublin, and Cork at a time when precious few performers Irish or otherwise were even dreaming of touring the trouble-torn island. Northern Ireland, in particular, was a rock & roll no-go area, but Gallagher never turned his back on the province and was rewarded with what history recalls as some of his best-ever gigs. Irish Tour, in turn, captures some of his finest known live recordings and, while it's impossible to tell which songs were recorded where, across nine in-concert recordings (plus one after-hours jam session, "Back on My Stompin' Ground"), the energy crackling from stage to stalls and back again packs an intensity that few live albums Gallagher's others among them can match.

Rory Gallagher ‘All Around Man – Live In London’ is a 23-track live album of unreleased material taken from a previously undocumented period of one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Released as double-CD and triple-LP sets, this exhilarating album is pulled from two nights at the Town & Country Club (now the The O2 Forum) in London in December 1990. ‘All Around Man – Live In London’ was recorded from the shows that supported Gallagher’s eleventh, and sadly, last studio album ‘Fresh Evidence’ that was released in May 1990. This album features captivating live versions of tracks from that album as well as songs from the 1987 ‘Defender’ album plus other career favourites. This new album has been mixed from the recently found multi tracks and mastered at Abbey Road Studios, and the album’s cover is a painting by Irish graffiti artist Vincent Zara who has stencilled Rory’s image across his home country.

Meeting with the G-Man+ is the RCA CD reissue of a live 1993 date in which the late Irish blues-rocker Rory Gallagher, late in his life, tore down the house in front of a large, completely unhinged, and adoring crowd. The beauty of this date is simply that Gallagher was still writing and recording new material and showcasing it on tour; he refused to be complacent and go the route of many of the guitar heroes of his generation by simply doing live shows comprised of hits. Therefore, much of the material here was new at the time, though a few classics are tossed in as well: killer versions of "Messin' with the Kid," "Ghost Blues," and "Mean Disposition." The 2003 CD reissue includes a complete remastering job, and includes no less than six previously unreleased acoustic performances placed in the center of the album – the order they took in the set list – almost doubling its length. While the recording itself is raw and immediate, it is never less than full-on in spectrum, making for an unusually high-quality, raucous gig that captured the guitarist at full power. Highly recommended.
