ROXANNE hails from Riverside, California, founded in the mid-eighties by vocalist Jamie Brown and bass player Joe Infante. Roxanne plays partying American melodic hard rock music at it's finest with cleverly well written songs and excellent musicianship. Roxanne is the great lost classic of 80s rock. Great, great album! From the vocals to the guitar and the hard, driving drum beat! Pick it up if you can find it. This band sounds like a mixture of Tesla, Aerosmith, Kingdom Come and Dokken. The first 2 tracks are from a different, early recording session and are exclusive to this Asian edition which has become very rare.

Colors is the soundtrack album to the Dennis Hopper-directed 1988 action crime film Colors. It was released on April 26, 1988 via Warner Bros. Records and mostly consisted of hip hop music. The album found success, peaking at number 31 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold on July 12, 1988, but it is best remembered for its title track performed by Ice-T. The single wasn't a huge success on the charts, only making it to #70 on the Billboard Hot 100, although it was later ranked the 19th best hip-hop song of all time by VH1 in 2008. The second song on the album, "Six Gun" by Decadent Dub Team was remixed for the album by Dr. Dre of NWA.

Not many bands can say they are releasing their third album thirty-five years after their debut, but not many bands have the history that California rockers Roxanne have. Originally formed in the late 80’s, Roxanne garnered commercial success with their 1988 self-titled debut album which was well received with two songs charting on rock radio; “Cherry Bay” and “Sweet Maria”, as well as a cover of Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music.” The band is back with their first album of new material in five years and second for Rat Pak Records. Stereo Typical features ten brand new songs from the quartet comprised of Jamie Brown (Vocals, Guitar), John Butler (Guitar), Joe Infante (Bass) and Dave Landry (Drums). The new album also features guest appearance from Paul Gilbert of Mr. Big, dUg Pinnick of King’s X and Jeff Scott Soto. Stereo Typical is scheduled for release worldwide on February 24th.

"Radio Silence" is the sophomore release from the LA based rock band Roxanne. Originally formed in the late 80's, Roxanne garnered commercial success with their 1988 self-titled debut album which was well received with two songs charting on rock radio; "Cherry Bay" and "Sweet Maria", as well as a cover of Wild Cherry's "Play That Funky Music" which hit #63 on the Billboard singles charts and was in full rotation on both dance and rock stations simultaneously. As with many bands from that era, facing the decline in interest for AOR rock due to the onslaught of the "grunge" scene, the guys in Roxanne went on hiatus.

After an eight-year stay at Motown, Rick James moved to Reprise/Warner Bros. with 1988's Wonderful. By that time, the funkster wasn't nearly as popular as he had been in the late '70s and early '80s, and he hoped to make a major comeback with this album. Reprise was delighted when the single "Loosey's Rap" (which features rapper Roxanne Shanté) went to number one on Billboard's R&B singles chart, but Wonderful didn't contain any other major hits – and it isn't hard to understand why.
