Over the course of their seven-year run back in the ‘00s, These Arms Are Snakes covered a lot of territory, both in terms of actual miles spent on the road and in terms of their creative bandwidth. Though the band was often mistaken for a typical non sequitur-named screamo outfit or another “animal” indie band, the Seattle group quickly defied expectations and garnered a reputation for subverting the popular underground sounds of time.

During spring of 2020, a line-up change occurred. The band recorded and released an EP named “KMPXP” for this milestone. It also announced the new artistic direction for the future of The Kompressor Experiment. This new album, “Ebb & Flow” is recorded during spring of 2021 by Ludovic Volper (Méandre). Darker and more frantic than ever, the 7 tracks present a view of the history of mankind, its uncertain beginnings (Endure The Sky, Riss-Würm), through its exponential development (Epigenesis), its infinite violent cycles (Tooth & Nail, Castle Bravo I and II) to end on a hope for resilience (Liminal Space).

After recently signing a worldwide record deal with Napalm Records, German post rock/experimental youngbloods THERE’S A LIGHT now unveil their second album, f̶o̶r̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶m̶a̶y̶ ̶I ̶h̶o̶pe̶? for what must we hope?

OK WAIT, a Hamburg-based trio, is an experimental instrumental band that creates a unique blend of music that defies genre boundaries.

This programme brings together the three great ballets which Stravinsky composed for Russian impresario Serge Diaghilev. These vibrantly atmospheric scores were all revised after their Parisian premières, and the 1945 version of the Firebird Suite was still brand new at the time of this recording. In what are widely considered to be the best of his commercial recordings of these works, Stravinsky the conductor brings out the expressive and vividly incisive rhythmic strengths of the Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra of New York.

No figure in 20th century American classical music had as prominent or controversial a career – or did more to sell classical music to the general public as something genuinely exciting, and worth getting into a sweat over – than Leonard Bernstein. For more than 30 years, from his assumption of the post of Music Director of the New York Philharmonic in 1958 until the final concerts that he conducted in obviously failing health near the end of his life in 1990, he was the most prominent and widely recognized American-born conductor in the world, and the dominant personality in American classical music as both a conductor and, to a lesser degree, a composer. A flamboyant public figure, he burst three different times on the musical world – twice in classical with a rush of success on Broadway in between – in a blaze of glory, in the space of 15 years; and over a career lasting from the early '40s until the beginning of the '90s, he never lost an opportunity to advance his reputation as well as the cause of music.

The reissue will be released as a deluxe edition, equipped with 4 CDs and a Blu-ray in a mediabook. The set includes a remixed and remastered version of the original studio album, a previously unreleased recording of the band's 1997 performance in Grand Rapids, B-sides and bonus tracks, as well as a lovingly illustrated booklet with rare photos, new artwork, memorabilia and an essay that delves deep into the history of the album. The Blu-ray contains the album in hi-res, jam sessions and early versions of the album tracks, a "This Strange Engine" documentary, a "Live In Utrecht" bootleg concert recording and promo videos from the time of the album's release. This release is a made up of live recordings from 2007 and 2008 with new mixes of songs performed on the US ‘Clutching at Stars’ tour at Nearfest and on the European tour supporting the ‘13th Star’ album.
