This deluxe 3-LP or 2-CD greatly expands Vince Guaraldi Trio’s landmark achievement, which included the Grammy® winning hit “Cast Your Fate to the Wind” (No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart).The set features 16 bonus tracks including alternate takes and previously unreleased music along with new liner notes. Recordings were transferred by Plangent Processes, with remastering by Paul Blakemore. Both physical formats also include new, in-depth liner notes by jazz writer Andrew Gilbert (San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News, KQED Arts).

Jonathan Dee Lemon is an English-born American cartoonist and former musician. He is best known for drawing the Alley Oop comic strip. Lemon was born in Watford, Hertfordshire, England in 1965, and earned an art degree at the University of Brighton.

For his debut on Warner Classics, Samoan tenor Pene Pati matches favourite showpiece arias with rarer operatic gems in a programme of Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti, Meyerbeer, Gounod and Benjamin Godard. Pati has been called “a revelation … stunning for his generosity of voice, top notes of apparently invincible power, and alluring timbre, “ (Forum Opéra) and praised for his “gleaming, sensuous stream of sound” (San Francisco Chronicle). A singer of glowing lyricism who establishes an immediate rapport with his audience, Pati hopes that the album will leave listeners with a sense of “warmth, tenderness, and the sincerity of storytelling. To me, this is the essence of opera and the reason why I sing.” He is joined by conductor Emmanuel Villaume and the Orchestre national Bordeaux Aquitaine.

Leading vocal group Chanticleer expands its already vast, multiple Grammy-winning discography with On a Clear Day. Due for digital release by Platoon on April 21, the new album showcases premiere studio recordings of music commissioned by and arranged for the choir over the past two decades, together with other favorites. One of the featured works is by Chanticleer’s 2022-23 Composer-in-Residence, Ayanna Woods, whose next world premiere commission forms the centerpiece of the ensemble’s upcoming live collaboration with the San Francisco Girls Chorus (March 17–21).
