Although Kraftwerk's first three albums were groundbreaking in their own right, Autobahn is where the group's hypnotic electronic pulse genuinely came into its own. The main difference between Autobahn and its predecessors is how it develops an insistent, propulsive pulse that makes the repeated rhythms and riffs of the shimmering electronic keyboards and trance-like guitars all the more hypnotizing. The 22-minute title track, in a severely edited form, became an international hit single and remains the peak of the band's achievements – it encapsulates the band and why they are important within one track – but the rest of the album provides soundscapes equally as intriguing. Within Autobahn, the roots of electro-funk, ambient, and synth pop are all evident – it's a pioneering album, even if its electronic trances might not capture the attention of all listeners.

Therefore transparent jewelcase have another cover with the Autobahn logo in blue on black. When the CD was released in 1998 a Japanese press release is said to state that the concert was recorded in Dallas Broncos Bowl on 1/5/1975. However latest investigations to a series of recordings from Denver clearly indicate this recording coming from a 20/05/1975 gig in Denver.

Bartók serves as the link between Schumann and Kurtág: when Kurtág says 'My mother tongue is Bartók, and Bartók's mother tongue was Beethoven' he is referring to the historically linked musical traditions of Germany and Austria, which are his special concern. In addition to this general connection, the works of Kurtág and Schumann reveal astonishing and fascinating affinities in terms of both literary and musical references…

The Trio Iris sees a “communicative and amicable attitude” in Mozart's well-known bowling trio; therefore and because of the unusual line-up for clarinet, viola and piano, the work forms the nucleus of the program Homage and Inspiration, which consists of two unique pairs of works. Robert Schumann was the first composer to be inspired by Mozart's trio in 1853 - he was particularly enthusiastic about the “extremely romantic” line-up, although the romantic probably refers to the mysterious mood of his fairy tale tales op. In 1990 György Kurtág, who called his work with the same cast Hommage a R. Sch. Again, Christoph Weiss refers directly to Mozart and his mentioned attitude in his commissioned work from 2013 - this closes a fascinating circle of relationships through the centuries.

During the mid-'70s, Germany's Kraftwerk established the sonic blueprint followed by an extraordinary number of artists in the decades to come. From the British new romantic movement to hip-hop to techno, the group's self-described "robot pop" – hypnotically minimal, obliquely rhythmic music performed solely via electronic means – resonates in virtually every new development to impact the contemporary pop scene of the late- 20th century, and as pioneers of the electronic music form, their enduring influence cannot be overstated…

Although Autobahn was a left-field masterpiece, Trans-Europe Express is often cited as perhaps the archetypal (and most accessible) Kraftwerk album. Melodic themes are repeated often and occasionally interwoven over deliberate, chugging beats, sometimes with manipulated vocals; the effect is mechanical yet hypnotic.
