The German heavy metal outfit, Rage, originally formed in the early '80s, and although the group has issued albums on a steady basis ever since, lead singer/bassist Peter "Peavey" Wagner is the only original member still in attendance. First known as Avenger, the group issued a pair of recordings (Prayer of Steel and Depraved to Black) before switching their name to Rage, to avoid confusion with a British band of the same name. 1986's Reign of Fear signaled the group's first album to be released under their new name, as they continued on in the same heavy hitting musical direction on subsequent releases; although they used some orchestral flourishes on their late-'90s experimental albums Lingua Mortis (1996) and XIII (1999)…

Metal Meets Classic Live + All G.U.N. Bonustracks is a live concert recording by German heavy metal band Rage, released as a DVD in November 2001 under name "Rage & Lingua Mortis Orchestra". What better way to celebrate their 30th Band anniversary as by diving deep into their own history, spanning three decades of an incomparable Metal career – from the humble beginnings in the early 1980s with their debut attempt »Prayers of Steel« and back then calling themselves AVENGER, through the flourishing 90s that peaked in their 1996 classic approach »Lingua Mortis«, all the way to the most recent years, which also featured RAGE coming in third at the “Bundesvision Songcontest” in 2009, carving a quarter of a century in stone even more so!..

Challenging all those who long ago dismissed them as second-rate and painfully cheesy Teutonic power-thrashers, Rage inaugurate their 18th studio album, Speak of the Dead, with an ambitious, 25-minute song suite subtitled "Lingua Mortis." OK. Get ready for this, though: it's actually very entertaining!…

If The Video Link accomplishes anything, it dispels any lingering doubts about this being Rage's best lineup. It also serves as a bittersweet sendoff for long-tenured shredder Manni Schmidt, who went into artistic hibernation for most of the '90s before later resurfacing with Grave Digger to great acclaim…

German metallers Rage have returned to the scene with their new album ‘The Devil Strikes Again’, the long-awaited follow up to their 2013 album ‘LMO’.
