Rhino released a double-disc Foreigner anthology called Jukebox Heroes in 2000, so why did they release a double-disc anthology called No End in Sight: The Very Best of Foreigner a mere eight years later? Well, No End in Sight's release does tie into a new tour from Foreigner, but it also bears a significantly cheaper price point than Jukebox Heroes (the 2000 release retailed at $31.98; the 2008 release at $18.98). These are two good practical reasons for a new compilation, but there's another significant difference between the two sets: this new one focuses on Foreigner alone, cutting off the early Spooky Tooth tracks, Lou Gramm hits, and Mick Jones singles that made Jukebox Heroes comprehensive.

Released as a celebration of Foreigner's 40th birthday – its title and album were designed to evoke memories of 4, the band's biggest album – 40 is the third double-disc compilation of the group's classic years to arrive since Jukebox Heroes: The Foreigner Anthology. That 2000 set was designed as a deep dive into the catalog, while The Definitive Collection – released six years later – whittled away nine songs, making it a leaner listen at 30 tracks. 40 does indeed offer 40 songs: 38 songs cherry picked from throughout the group's career, along with two new recordings ("I Don't Want to Live Without You" and "Give My Life for Love"). Among these 38 songs are some relative rarities.

Can't Slow Down … When It's Live! is a live album by rock band Foreigner, released in 2010. It was recorded on March 16 the same year Nashville, Tennessee at the Ryman Auditorium except for the track "Can't Slow Down" recorded in Seebronn, Germany, on July 31, 2010. In 2009 Foreigner released Can't Slow Down, their first album of original music in fifteen years, followed by a successful tour of North America and Europe. Music from that tour has now been put into a new two-CD live album of both Foreigner classics and new songs called Can't Slow Down…When It's Live! "Can’t Slow Down is about fresh starts,” said founding guitarist Mick Jones. “For the band, it was a chance to step out from the shadow of the past and establish its own identity. Personally, the album helped me reclaim my confidence as an artist and rediscover the fun of making music again.”

Mr. Moonlight is the eighth studio album by British-American rock band Foreigner, released by Arista Records in Europe on 23 October and by BMG Entertainment in Japan on 23 November 1994. In the United States and Canada, it appeared in early 1995 on the Rhythm Safari label. Recorded at seven different studios across the States, the album was produced by Mick Jones, Lou Gramm, and Mike Stone, with an additional production by Phil and Joe Nicolo. It was Foreigner's last studio release until Can't Slow Down (2009). The album was the first since Inside Information (1987) and appeared to be the final to date full-length release with original lead singer Lou Gramm, who had left the group in 1990 but returned two years later.
