Con claridad y funcionalidad pretendía atender todas las necesidades de la gente, en un universo de vidrio, cemento y metal en el que la forma se somete a la función. Paradas de buses y edificios diseñaron los maestros de la "arquitectura moderna" y de la "nueva objetividad"; también teteras, esculturas de papel, tapices, muñequitos y ceniceros de tres puntas. La Bauhaus pretendía diseñar para suplir las necesidades del pueblo, no del lujo. Esta muestra se concentra en el material generado durante las clases de la Escuela de Diseño, pues se pretende enfocar, sobre todo, el afán interdisciplinario de la institución que Walter Gropius fundara en 1919 en Weimar y que por motivos políticos tuvo que trasladar a Dessau en 1925.

En 1999 a Buenos Aires, un agent federal a la retraite, Benjamin Esposito, essaie d'ecrire l'histoire d'une affaire criminelle qu'il a traitee 25 ans plus tot et qui le hante toujours : le viol et le meurtre en juin 1974 d'une jeune femme mariee, Liliana Colotto.
Il rencontre sa superieure de l'epoque, Irene, et evoque avec elle l'enquete, qu'en 1974 et 1975 il a menee avec son adjoint, Pablo Sandoval. Les deux hommes, emus par la ferveur de l'amour que le veuf de la victime lui portait et son obstination a retrouver le coupable, ont refuse que le dossier soit classe. Aussi ont-ils desobei aux ordres pour essayer d'arreter un suspect.
