Klondike, fin du XIXe siecle. Des aventuriers partent en quete de filons d'or dans les montagnes enneigees. Parmi eux, un petit homme coiffe d'un chapeau et muni d'une canne se refugie un jour de tempete dans une cabane perdue où il rencontre deux autres chercheurs d'or. De retour bredouille a la ville, le petit homme fait la connaissance de Georgia dont il tombe amoureux.

(A lone prospector ventures into Alaska looking for gold. He gets mixed up with some burly characters and falls in love with the beautiful Georgia. He tries to win her heart with his singular charm.)

A sa sortie de prison, le pirate Yellowbeard veut recupérer un trésor caché sur une ile deserte. Sa femme ayant tatoué par mesure de securité la carte de l'endroit sur la tête de leur fils, adulte maintenant, le pirate est obligé de faire une expédition, accompagné de son rejeton, de ses amis et de bien d'autres gêneurs. La mise en scène tres soignée est à la base d'un humour absurde et parcourt "allègrement" une série de crimes, viols, mutilations en tous genres …. Plaisant et commercial ….. Ce film réunnissant trois des Monty Python, Peter Cook et Marty Feldman ne peut qu'être délirant

This colorful spoof of pirate movies had all the makings of a classic farce and yet sank straight to Davy Jones' locker at the box-office, for despite it's all-star international cast of famous comedians, and despite the fact that it was largely co-written by "Monty Python"-veteran Graham Chapman and former "Fringie" Peter Cook, the darned thing just wasn't funny. The sketches center around the core story of the dread pirate Yellowbeard's quest for a fabulous treasure, the map for which is tattooed on the head of his prissy son, who wants nothing to do with ships and pirate shenanigans. This was the final film of bug-eyed, beloved comedian Marty Feldman, who died of heart-failure before production finished.

Ruthie calls Or "my treasure," but Ruthie is a burden. She's just out of hospital, weak, and Or has found her a job as a house cleaner. The call of the quick money on the street is tough for Ruthie to ignore. Or's emotions roil further when the mother of the youth she's in love with comes to the flat to warn her off. With love fading and Ruthie perhaps beyond help, Or's choices narrow.
