I remember the venue almost like and old fort with roses everywhere. We came to the site and Wavy Gravy showed us where to camp. Ken Kesey was here as well as a couple other big figures of the counterculture. I think because of Mickey's 40th. During drums a double rainbow appeared. Every time it looked like rain the band would stop and then come back even stronger from their breaks. I saw more outdoor shows in 83 than all the years combined. I have goose bumps even typing this from the memories. - xxuncle johnxx, Dead.net

Rooted in triple-stacked harmonies, southern storytelling, and cosmic country twang, Cordovas create their own version of American roots-rock with That Santa Fe Channel. The album marks the band's ATO Records debut, arriving after more than a half-decade's worth of international touring, communal living, and shared songwriting sessions. It's a timely — and timeless — version of a sound that's existed for 50 years, ever since pioneers like the Grateful Dead and the Allman Bothers Band blurred the lines between rock, country, and amplified folk music.

Santa Fe Desert Chorale takes us on a beautiful journey through America’s deep choral heritage with richly expressive, blended singing. Simple Shaker songs from the mid-19th century are performed in both their original, pure forms—introducing some terrific solo voices—and in sumptuous arrangements by Shawn Kirchner, whose warm-hearted “Angel Band” takes full advantage of the choir’s wide-ranging sonorities. Jake Runestead’s “Reflections,” commissioned by Santa Fe Desert Chorale, and Morten Lauridsen’s “Mid-Winter Songs” represent the best of contemporary American choral music while the final three works, including Stephen Paulus’ “The Road Home,” remind us of the folk-song roots of jazz, gospel, and bluegrass.

Ten years after his first top selling holiday album "Poets & Angels", the pioneer new falmenco guittarist Ottmar Liebert comes back with another collection of familiar classic xmas tunes, embellished with memorable second themes. Backed by a lively percussion section that gives many songs a distinctively Latin flavor, Liebert's playing here is crisp and light and always imaginative. Really wondeful holiday music to be shared with a loved one in front of a roaring fire, on Christmas eve. Enjoy.

The Santa Fe Sessions contain new recordings of ten compositions that first appeared in different form on albums released between 1990 and 1995 plus two new compositions. The new versions of older compositions were inspired by the songs themselves changing (improving?) over the course of performing them hundreds of times live. Most of them have grown new introductions, new appendages + new textures.

In the early 1990’s, on one of the first real long form videos that showed you it wasn’t all fun being in a rock n roll band, Jon Bon Jovi discusses Bon Jovi’s lack of critical acclaim. “The way I look at it,” he says, “is that I am so far out of fashion I am in fashion….” Then on their classic “Heartbreak Station” record, Cinderella offered the thought that “The More Things Change, The More They Stay The Same” as a first track, while in 1991 long forgotten (by everyone except MV) glam Herbert’s Tuff, made their major label debut. The title of the record kept coming into our head when listening to “Bad Blood Rising.” What Comes Around Goes Around.
