UK trio Coalition was formed in 2010 by Steve Gresswell, who had been using this moniker as an on and off project name since the early 1990's. On this latest incarnation he brought in Paul Bulger and Phil Braithwaite, with a specific goal in mind: To record and release an album, and then perform the material live as often as possible. The first step of this plan was accomplished when the threesome issued the CD "In Search of Forever" in March 2012.
"Ballad of Reading Gaol" (2017) is a musical interpretation of Oscar Wilde's poem The Ballad of Reading Gaol. Originally commissioned by Richard Demarco CBE for a performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The poem has been put to music and is sung in it's entirety.
