Good Old Times is Simone's solo album featuring guitarist Jean-Paul Bourelly, bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma, pianist Paul Urbanek and drummer Reinhardt Winkler. The disc presents covers of songs by Neil Young, John Fogerty, Van Morrison, The Bee Gees and many more. This SACD release features different tracklisting and includes one bonus track, "Angie", originally by the Rolling Stones.

It includes brand-new original material in a smooth and relaxing jazzy mood as well as cover songs like Aretha Franklin’s “Day Dreaming”, Merle Haggard’s “Crazy Moon” and Pat Metheny’s masterpiece “Travels” in the vocal version “Travelling to You”.

Jazz vocalist Simone Kopmajer gathered a team of Terry Myers, Ron Teixeira, Rabbit Simmons and Reinhardt Winkler to compile an album of jazz favorites. She puts her spin on John Lennon's "Imagine" and includes the jazz standard "Tea For Two".

Simone puts her own unique spin on country music artist Alison Kraus's "Ghost In This House" as well as jazz standards like "Moon Glow". She had classical piano lessons starting at the age of eight and at 12 began playing saxophone. She performed in a youth big band and sang regularly in her father's band as a teenager. At 17 she studied with Sheila Jordan, who encouraged her. Kopmajer also studied with Mark Murphy, Jay Clayton, and Michele Hendricks.

Austrian singer Simone Kopmajer has consistently released charming and wonderful albums from the Japanese label Venus Records over the years, many of them musically directed by brilliant pianist/arranger John di Martino. They got together again for this collection of Hawaiian songs, interpreted from a jazz musicians' perspective and performed with superb musicianship.
