…Nevertheless, its cavalcade of contradictory moods has its own coherence, and is more musical than most pop music soundtracks. Plus, this has no familiar material, nor does it have anything that would be a single on Clear Channel, which is why it works as an album of its own – it doesn't just reflect the movie; it follows its own logic, and displays fearless imagination. It makes you hungry for Vol. 2, both the movie and soundtrack.
The Brown Eyed Girls, often abbreviated as B.E.G., is a South Korean pop girl group managed by Nega Network. The group consists of four members: JeA, Miryo, Narsha, and Ga-In. They've debuted as an R&B/ballad vocal group in 2006 and challenged themselves with different music genres. They rose to popularity in 2008 with L.O.V.E, and cemented their position in the K-Pop world in 2009 with Abracadabra.
The 5.6.7.8's are an all-female Japanese garage rock trio, whose music is reminiscent of American surf music, rockabilly and garage rock. While their biggest international exposure was a cameo in the Tarantino flick Kill Bill, 5.6.7.8's are much more than one-hit wonders, bearing the proud distinction of being the prime and longest-enduring Japanese garage rock girl band. Featuring a revolving cast of musicians (only one of them ever being a boy) and possessing small but loyal fanbases in countries from China to the United States. The group have so named themselves because they play music reminiscent of 1950s, '60s, '70s, and '80s rock. Currently this CD Collection includes 9 CDs.
Ennio Morricone 's compilation album from Quentin Tarantino's films including Django, Kill Bill and Inglourious Basterds.
This compilation of Ennio Morricone music features twelve re-recordings by the Solisti E Orchestre Del Cinema Italiano, all of which have appeared (in their original forms) in the Quentin Tarantino films Grindhouse: Deathproof, Kill Bill Vol. 2 and Inglorious Basterds. The renditions themselves are impeccable, utilizing the same analogue recording techniques that spawned the originals. While it was smart not to go with more recognizable fare like the vocal/electric guitar versions of Navajo Joe or The Good, The Bad and the Ugly (both are represented here by their quieter, more orchestral movements), the overall effect seems superfluous, as die-hard fans of both the composer and the director will likely seek out the real thing.
