Welcome to Sick Volume 4. This year’s entry into our annual Sick series delves into the sound of macabre body mutilation and tardigrade torture. It painstakingly explores 35 unique deep sampled (12x RR) percussion articulations as well as over 1,000 horror sound effects. Weighing in at over 2 GB of premium sound design content, Sick 4 is ideal for both music and sound production: designed with horror in mind yet flexible and diverse enough to fit into any mix that calls for something a little off the beaten path.

The Soundiron Sandy Creek Organ library captures the last gasps of life from this well-worn vintage Thomas Monticello organ. Bequeathed to us by a friendly neighbor, this gem had a story to tell.

Alpha Organ features a beautifully sampled pair of pipe organs recorded individually and together at St. Paul's Church in San Francisco, CA. Each organ offers a distinct contrast to the other and when the two are played simultaneously in unison, the sound is glorious. We’ve captured both instruments individually and together in unison, with multiple microphone types and positions to offer you a variety of aesthetic options.

Soundiron Motor Rhythms is a unique drum kit, crafted from raw automobile parts by musical artist and mechanic Jordan Hill. He carefully selected, assembled and welded together parts from all manner of auto makes and models. We came to his workshop to record each piece in precise detail, with both close and far microphone positions.

Soundiron's Cruiser captures that signature nostalgic sound of a vintage 80's synth, perfect for vaporwave, chillwave, nu-disco, new retro wave and all of the raddest Saturday morning cartoon theme songs ever written. This classic 49-key subtractive synthesizer was built by the Italian electronics company Siel way back in 1981. Sold to the European markets as the Siel Cruise, this little slice of the ‘80s made it stateside as a rebranded Sequential Fugue.

Frendo is a custom-built Soundiron instrument. We created this monster by stringing bailing wire around and through steel plates and bolts, over galvanized steel piping and across wood planks. It was meant to suffer. You can help by mistreating it in horrible ways with screwdrivers, bows, drum sticks, mallets and fingers. The instrument holds a vast amount of otherworldly sounds, which is ideal for composers looking for new disturbing, horror-like textures for their scores. Frendo is partially a mallet instrument, recorded with wooden and rubber mallets, but is also a more traditional string instrument, since we recorded finger plucks and bows. It's the sound of Satan's cello, weeping softly for your burning soul.

The Struck Grand is an extraordinary instrument collection that delves deep into the fine art of piano abuse. This 9 GB collection explores all of the ways a 1926 Steinway Model L parlor grand piano can be "played" from the far side of the hammer. You'll find well over 4000 samples of pick plucks, steel hammers, finger mutes, harmonics, slides, mallets, glisses, scrapes and otherworldly sustaining effects over the full note range. This collection shines as equal part stringed/tuned percussion and super-harp/mega-zither with a huge key range and rich, complex musical character.

Dusty Roads captures the essence of a classic Fender Rhodes Mark II Stage Piano. We recorded this vintage beauty in close stereo and direct line in, giving you total freedom to shape the tone and make it your own. The end result is a naturally playable, great-sounding instrument that will come alive in your tracks, with tons of sound-shaping options and expanded content to take this classic sound in new directions.
