The bizarre sitar may not seem so strange at first glance. It has most of the elements found on any other sitar, with it's traditional gourd body, both main playable strings and sympathetic resonating strings, parda (adjustable curved frets), kunti (tuning pegs), dandi (neck), ghoraj (main bridge) all complete with orante hand-painted accents. At just over 24 in length, however, this little beauty is barely half the size of a standard sitar. Simply being small isn't bizarre by any means, but what is bizarre is how it can achieve such a lush, full-bodied sound while being so small. Intended as more decoration than instrument, we feel this little guy has been highly underestimated. Although soft-spoken and possesssing fewer strings than normal (5 main and 6 sympathetic), all this "baby" sitar needed was someone to listen closely. And we did very close.

The Kalimba is a modernized version of the ancient African Mbira, also often called a thumb piano. It has a humble, melodious percussive plucking sound with a marimba-like warmth and tonal body. It is often used in conjunction with pianos and other tuned percussion instruments to add a sharper attack and playfulness to the sound.

Welcome to Soundiron’s Acoustic Saz library! Acoustic Saz is a truly, deeply sampled 5-string acoustic saz baglâma library for Kontakt with a huge range of extended content, an innovative new custom interface and cutting-edge powerful performance features. This beautiful fretless Saz was procured directly from the streets of Turkey, where master craftsman have been building them by hand for centuries. We painstakingly sampled all three “runs” of strings (low octave, middle single and high unison) with a massive 12x round robin and up to 6 velocity layers for open notes on an octave and a half per string. Continuing the depth are palm mutes, string chokes, release samples and a slew of percussive effects all at 12x round robin with multiple velocity layers.

Welcome to Soundiron's Little Wooden Flutes! This soulful collection features an Indian Venu flute recorded in a dry studio environment as well as several Native American Plains flutes recorded in a large open sanctuary hall to provide a rich, natural reverb.

Soundiron's Jewel Empire II captures the versatility and specific character of the GEM Imperial II electronic organ. The GEM series of instruments were manufactured by GeneralMusic in Italy sometime during the late 80s and early 90s. The GEM Imperial II is a large electronic organ with two keybeds and a large variety of voice tabs, a dedicated Bass voice section, and drawbars to control a lot of voice functions.

UFO Tone is a multi-sampled metallic tuned percussion library that encapsulates a special hang drum from another realm. At Soundiron, we love anything rare, weird, or mysterious. This one checks all three boxes. We may have found this artifact halfway buried in a field, like it was dropped off from an extraterrestrial visit.

The Soundiron Waterharp is a deeply multi-sampled percussion and effects instrument library that captures the heart and soul of the waterphone. This unique instrument concept was originally developed by Richard Waters in the late 1960s. Waterphones — also commonly known as Water Harps — are found in all shapes and sizes, but they generally follow the same basic design: a brass vessel with a hollow brass water chamber and a long neck.

Soundiron's Eko Panda captures that signature nostalgic sound of an early 70's synth, perfect for recreating your favorite old-school leads and pads. The Panda 61 Piano is a vintage 61-key synthesizer built by the Italian electronics company Eko back in the 1960s and early 70s.
