Stranger Things is an American science fiction-horror web television series created, written, directed and co-executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, as well as co-executive-produced by Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen. The first season, released in July 2016, stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, and Matthew Modine, with Noah Schnapp and Joe Keery in recurring roles. For the second season, Schnapp and Keery were promoted to series regulars, along with the addition of Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery.

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Native Son. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Valley of the Boom, Butterfly). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 5 and will be available to download here. Native Son directed by Rashid Johnson and stars Ashton Sanders, Margaret Qualley, Bill Camp, Nick Robinson, KiKi Layne, Elizabeth Marvel, David Alan Grier and Sanaa Lathan. The movie is based on the classic novel by Richard Wright and follows a young African-American man who takes a job working for a highly influential Chicago family, a decision that will change the course of his life forever. The A24 production premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will debut on April 6 exclusively on HBO.

Benjamin Wallfisch has been hired to score the upcoming dystopian thriller The Darkest Minds. The film is directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Kung Fu Panda 2 & 3) and stars Amandla Stenberg, Harris Dickinson, Mandy Moore, Golden Brooks, Skylan Brooks, Gwendoline Christie and Patrick Gibson. The movie based on Alexandra Bracken’s YA trilogy is set after a pandemic kills most of America’s children and teenagers and follows a teenage girl with telekinetic powers who escapes her camp and joins a group of teens on the run from the government. Chad Hodge (Wayward Pines) has written the screenplay. Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum, Real Steel, Date Night) is producing the 21 Laps Entertainment production with Dan Levine (Arrival, Why Him?) and Dan Cohen (Stranger Things). The Darkest Minds is set to be released on August 3, 2018 by 20th Century Fox.
