As its title implies Summer Songs, Summer Love, Summer Fun is packed full of summer songs: many have summer or summertime in their title, while others reference summer activities or preoccupations. Compiled by Austin Powell, and covering the years 1952 to 1962, the 81-track 3CD set Summer Songs, Summer Love, Summer Fun quite conceivably packs in more summer songs than any other compilation. Generally, every song appears just once, but two versions apiece of Here Comes Summer, The Green Leaves Of Summer and Summertime Blues, plus vocal and instrumental versions of Theme From A Summer Place, all make for interesting comparison.
