Black Panther The Album Music From And Inspired By, or simply Black Panther: The Album, is the soundtrack album for the Marvel Studios film Black Panther. It was curated and produced by Kendrick Lamar and was released by Interscope Records on February 9, 2018. Ludwig Göransson composed the score for the film.

Kendrick Lamar, TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, and director Ryan Coogler put their heads together for this album of music from and inspired by Black Panther. Along with TDE stars SZA, ScHoolBoy Q, and Jay Rock, the trio pulled artists from across the hip-hop spectrum. Future, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, and Vince Staples mingle with Sacramento spitter Mozzy and Bay Area crew SOB X RBE. The Weeknd, Jorja Smith, and Khalid represent R&B’s shining guard. And Kendrick destroys the five songs he’s featured on. Marrying sound and vision, a movement and a movie, Black Panther taps into Kendrick’s and T’Challa’s revolutionary spirit.

Until a late flurry of percussion arrives, doleful guitar and bass are Solána Rowe’s only accompaniment on opener “Supermodel”, a stinging kiss-off to an adulterous ex.

SZA's debut album was originally slated for release back in February, but saw its release date pushed back all the way to June. Now it's finally here, just in time for a slow, sweaty summer.

The Glorious Sons are a Canadian rock band from Kingston, Ontario. Formed in 2011, the band signed with Black Box in 2013. Since then, The Glorious Sons have released one EP, Shapeless Art, and three full-length albums; The Union, which was released on September 14, 2014, and their second album Young Beauties and Fools, which was released on October 13, 2017, and finally A War On Everything released September 13, 2019. The band have eight consecutive top-10 rock radio hits in Canada including their first #1 modern rock single "Everything Is Alright".

The S.O.S. Band hit with a two-million-selling single, "Take Your Time (Do It Right)," their first time out, before having several hit singles written and produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The Atlanta, GA-borne band was started in 1977, when keyboardist/vocalist Jason Bryant, saxophonists Billy Ellis and Willie "Sonny" Killebrew, guitarist Bruno Speight, bassist John Alexander Simpson, drummer James Earl Jones III, and lead vocalist Mary Davis formed a group called Santa Monica that played at Atlanta nightclub the Regal Room. Their manager, Bunny Jackson-Ransom (who later managed Cameo), sent a demo to Clarence Avant, head of Tabu Records. After signing the band to Tabu, Avant suggested that the band work with songwriter/producer Sigidi Abdullah. Abdullah was curious as to why an Atlanta-based band named itself Santa Monica. Keyboardist Jason Bryant replied that the band had an enjoyable concert in Santa Monica, CA. Abdullah then came up with a new band name, the S.O.S. Band, with S.O.S. standing for "Sounds of Success."
