Trumpeter Sean Jones received his master's degree at Rutgers University, and then quickly began his rise into the upper echelon of the jazz world. Serving for six years as the first-chair trumpeter for Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, he toured Europe with Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller and, with Wayne Shorter, in a Miles Davis project; he is also now in his fifth year as a member of the SFJAZZ Collective. Heavily involved in education, Jones has taught at Duquesne University, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and is now chair of the brass department at Berklee College of Music.

Jimmy Jones was an in-demand arranger and pianist throughout the 1950s and '60s, working with most leading jazz vocalists and soloists of the era. If you go into Tom Lord's Jazz Discography, you'll find Jones on 307 sessions. But if you modify your search, screening just for Jones's leadership dates, you'll find the number dramatically reduced to eight. In truth, there were only seven, since the tracks for an Atlantic Records session in 1957 were strangely never released.
Among these seven leadership recordings, the only trio session released as a six-song 10-inch LP was Jimmy Jones Trio. Jones recorded the album for the French Vogue label in October 1954 in Paris. The only explanations for Jones recording just one trio album over the course of his career is either that he was too busy or he was under contract as an arranger or accompanist to other artists and couldn't record legally under his own name…

In May 1956, the Texan label Starday issued a wild rockabilly single by Thumper Jones. Its top side, the kinetic “Rock It”, was primal, uncontrolled and wild. The flip, “How Come It”, was less frenzied but still driving and infectious. Original pressings of the two-sided pounder in either its 45 or 78 form now fetch at least Ј200. This is not your usual rockabilly rarity though. The record’s label credited the songs to a Geo. Jones. Thumper Jones was a pseudonymous George Jones (1931–2013), who was cashing in a hip style: the only time he did so with rockabilly.

Piet Blank and Jaspa Jones are a production and DJ duo who played a significant role in the late-'90s commercialization of trance, though they went on to be known as much for their remixes and eclectic downtempo material. Beginning with 1997 single "Sunrise," they began releasing upbeat, euphoric tracks which appealed to clubs as well as pop radio, and they scored major hits with songs like 1999's "Cream" and 2002's "The Hardest Heart." While they continued to produce dance music, they began branching off into downtempo and ambient music starting with the first of many Relax full-lengths in 2003, in addition to compiling the multi-volume Chilltronica and Milchbar compilations. They also explored their obsession with '80s pop, dance, and new wave through collaborations with Robert Smith and Bernard Sumner as well as their extensive so80s (SoEighties) mix series, which they initiated in 2009.

Newly discovered recordings of Aled as a young boy, singing in a documentary in 1983 (40 years ago), have been found. The album will contain 10 ‘new’ tracks (Aled duetting with his younger self), a few of his greatest hits, and some bonus material. The album also features a beautiful piano only version of 'Walking In The Air' with Aled himself playing the piano.
