was a three-part comic book limited series from DC Comics written by Judd Winick and illustrated by Ale Garza (pencils) and Trevor Scott (inks) published early July to August 2003. It was a cross-over event between then ongoing titles and and would be the last time either of these teams would appear as both were dissolved at the series' end. The mini-series was used as springboard to set up the current and the current ongoing series (both now in Volume 3). It was notable for killing off two major long-term characters and still remains a controversial story in the eyes of many fans. It is also been retroactively tied into the event via the DC Special: . This is a compilation of the ongoing --now Volume 3 in library terms--from issues #1 through the current #15, all high-quality Minutemen scans. The new Batgirl is part of the series of titles launched after DC Comics' successful crossover event. Some might consider Batgirl a bit lighthearted in tone compared to the rest of the current titles of the Batman family but somehow I like it that way. This comic doesn't take itself too seriously, unlike the over-bearing, the-darker-the-tone-the-better approach taken by other creative teams in the Batman family comic books. That's why I like Power Girl, too.
