Made From Scratch is a 1996 sampler CD released through the hip-hop division of DGC/Geffen Records. It highlights songs by artists that were just released along with artists meant for release but whose deal was scrapped from the company, including The Large Professor of Main Source and the group Madd Head. It is a "sampler" CD so some tracks are just excerpts.

The album features Swift’s signature cutting techniques, innovative scratching, and strong use of samples, while also exploring more experimental sounds.

Return Of The Product is the 1992 solo album by Michael Berrin, better known as MC Serch. A member of the hip-hop group 3rd Bass, this album came about when 3rd Bass split up. He only recorded one album before getting more involved with the industry side of things. He also became a radio DJ and talk show host since then, keeping the MC Serch name. The album featured the hit songs "Here It Comes" and "Back To The Grill" and the semi-hit "Daze In A Weak." This was released by Chaos Recordings via Def Jam before Def Jam moved from Columbia/CBS to become a Polygram/Universal entity.

The Magnet is the 2001 soundtrack to a movie directed by Kamel Saleh and Akhenation. A French movie released as Comme un aimant, the music was done by Akhénaton and Bruno Coulais, new material "from old school legends and hip-hop's hottest new artists". The old school artists were well chosen and as for the hip-hop, the only "hot" part comes from Talib Kweli. This is taken from a promotional CD so this doesn't have proper covers. This was released by OmTown, a division of Higher Octave.

"One More Chance" is the 1995 CD single by American rapper Christopher Wallace, originally known as BIG or Biggie Smalls but known by mainstream stans as The Notorious B.I.G. The hit single was remixed from the album version and features Faith Evans and Mary J. Blige on background vocals while the hip-hop remix features vocal group Total helping out. "The What" is a song from Ready To Die featuring Wu-Tang Clan member Clifford Smith, better known as Method Man. This was released by Bad Boy, that's right.

South Central is the 1992 soundtrack to the American film of the same name. It is a blend of old school 1970's/1980's R&B with then-modern hip-hop. It was released on the HollywoodBASIC label.
