2009 ten CD collection from the '80s Rockabilly/Pop superstar containing digitally remastered and expanded editions of all nine of his original Epic Records albums plus a bonus disc containing twelve inch single remixes of eight tracks. Each individual album is packaged in a mini LP sleeve and all 10 titles come housed in an attractive flip-top box. The studio albums included on this set all contain bonus tracks including non album singles. Known for his solo hits in the 1980s as well as his hits with the band Smokie in the '70s, Chris Norman is a British soft rock singer with an international following whose career spans several decades. As Smokie's popularity trailed off around the turn of the decade, Norman split from the band and made his solo album debut in 1982 with Rock Away Your Teardrops. While his debut album was fairly unsuccessful, his second full-length effort, Some Hearts Are Diamonds (1986), was another story, spawning the international Top Ten smash hit single "Midnight Lady." Norman's popularity was greatest in Germany, where he racked up several additional hits during the late '80s, among them "No Arms Can Ever Hold You," "Sarah (You Take My Breath Away)," and "Broken Heroes."

Throughout the 70s and into the 80s, Fable and Image were the premier Australian independent record labels. These new collection of 40 chart hits celebrates the labels' heyday and features some of their biggest artists on CD for the first time in over a decade. The big hits by artists such as John Williamson, Brian Cadd and The Mixtures along with 'one hit wonders' like Drummond, Fourth House and Cash Backman. The perfect nostalgia 'trip' for a generation craving to hear the sounds of its youth.

British singer/songwriter Howard Jones was a glinting jewel caught in the avalanche of synthesized music that overwhelmed the pop scene in the '80s. Jones had a true gift for crafting gleaming melodic hooks that make his hits some of the most memorable of the era. He used synthesizers not because they were "in," but because he could use them to create a delicious soundscape that couldn't be created without them. (Later in his career, he proved that he didn't need the electronics to write compelling pop music.) This 12" Album was released in support of his 1984 effort Humans Lib. It includes remixes of four of the hits from that record, including a previously unreleased extended mix of "Pearl in the Shell" and a "new version" of the now-classic "New Song," which features a reworked bass run and a new piano solo.

This is an amazing double CD tribute compilation - to commemorate 40 years in the business, Kool & The Gang has teamed up and remade many of their top hits top to bottom featuring many of todays most up & coming vocalists and artists. I am quite surprised that this project has not made more of a splash in the states, yet…
