…Ridiculousness is much harder to stomach in words than it is in music, but the nice thing about Day & Age is that not only is Flowers' voice relatively buried, The Killers are unwittingly comfortable with their ludicrous, outsized pop, which turns the album into terrifically trashy pop. Not the serious rock they yearn to be by any means, but these fashionable threads fit them better anyway.

Like their hometown of Las Vegas, the Killers have a flair for anything supersize, sparkly and over-the-top: soaring synth-pop operas, multipart arena-rock anthems, "Bohemian Rhapsody"-style choirs. So it makes sense that, after 2006's massively ambitious Sam's Town, their third studio album expands their scope even further, adding subtle world-music accents to their glittery New Wave anthems — fitting for a band bent on international megastardom. Produced by dance maven Stuart Price, Day & Age broadens the Killers' sound with dub-inflected grooves ("Joyride"), Caribbean-style steel drums ("I Can't Stay") and a chanted intro that recalls South Africa's Lady­smith Black Mambazo ("This Is Your Life") — though it's performed by the band itself.

Rebel Diamonds is a greatest hits album by American rock band the Killers, released on December 8, 2023, through Island Records. It is the band's second greatest hits collection, following Direct Hits in 2013. The compilation features three original songs from the band's aborted eighth studio album – "Boy", "Your Side of Town" and "Spirit" – produced by Stuart Price and Shawn Everett. Rebel Diamonds serves as a retrospective look at the career of the rock band, offering a chronological arrangement of their hits by the year of release and a new track, "Spirit". The album title is taken from the lyrics of their song "Read My Mind" from their second album, Sam's Town.

They have also released a B-sides and rarities compilation, Sawdust (2007); a live album, Live from the Royal Albert Hall (2009); a greatest-hits album, Direct Hits (2013); and a Christmas compilation, Don't Waste Your Wishes (2016). The Killers are considered one of the biggest rock bands of the 21st century, and the most successful act to ever emerge from Nevada, selling more than 28 million albums.

This repeats the content of the standard CD+DVD deluxe edition, and adds a unique collection of 5 x 10? vinyl records featuring all the singles on the album.
