We embarked upon a six month long journey to fill what we believe is a void in today's synth and sample library market. Scoring Synths is the exciting end product of recording two of the most iconic synthesizers in the world, reamping or "worldizing" them into one of the best sounding live rooms in the U.S., and re-recording them with an array of priceless vintage microphones.

Featuring Nashville's finest string players at Ocean Way Studios – a world class scoring environment – we dedicated over two years to capturing the expressive performances of the incredible musicians we worked with. Using performance-based sampling techniques, we were able to preserve the subtle details and expressiveness found in real live recordings, all while maintaining the sense of depth found in the room. Every note was analyzed in real time during the sessions to make sure we maintained timbrel consistency.

Scoring Piano is a Steinway Model B piano, sampled in a great studio near Florence, Tuscany. This instrument will find a perfect spot for any kind of soundtrack and, like My Piano, for jazz and classical music. We have tried to take the softest dynamics particularly into account.

Scoring Acoustic Guitars, a new journey into the inspiring world of cinematic guitars. Armed with an array of pristinely-sampled nylon and steel string acoustic guitars, the renowned Heavyocity sound design team has elevated each pluck and vibration into a range of modern scoring content: from ambient complex pads to tense rhythmic pedals to unique, evolving guitarscapes.
